- Jacob Salazar Bio:
Jacob was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. A graduate of the University Of Northern Colorado, Jacob received his Bachelor degree in Business Administration and Communication in Mass Media. Not only did Jacob receive his degrees from the University Of Northern Colorado, he also received a full ride Baseball scholarship and varsity letter. He was an active member of the University Baseball team for three years until an injury ended his career. A lover of the outdoors, Jacob actively participates in many traditional sports as well as extreme sports such as: Skiing, Water skiing, Skydiving, Baseball, Soft Ball, Golf, Scuba Diving, and Football with his friends. Jacob is an avid fan of professional sports in Colorado, but because of his background in baseball, his personal favorite is the Colorado Rockies.
His first year out of college, he owned and operated a Benihana franchise which is the largest fine dining restaurant franchise in the world. While working at Benihana, Jacob received many awards including best restaurant in Boulder County for three years running and best restaurant to bring a child. Jacob’s success in the restaurant business opened many doors for additional business ventures. In 2006, an offer was made on the restaurant, and Jacob’s passion for real estate led him to Sotheby’s International Realty where he was a Broker Associate. Forever the entrepreneur, Jacob broke away from Sotheby’s to realize his dream of owning and operating a Downtown Denver real estate brokerage and Development company; this is where the Devonshire Company was born.

Everyone keeps speaking about the market and how bad it is. Well, it all depends on what side you’re on. If you are one of the people that is trying to sell your house because of a bad mortgage or loss of financing, then yes the market is bad for you. If you are a person that was buying properties and pulling all the equity out to finance another deal and doing it over and over, then yes you are probably feeling some stress right now.
